Ranbir Kapoor turns shayar
Ranbir Kapoor has turned poet for his friend filmmaker Anurag Basu's assistant, Sunil Subrimani's directorial debut. The romantic song, featuring Sharman Joshi and Sunny Leone, will have RK reciting a shayari in Hindi and Punjabi. We hear Ranbir immediately agreed to lend his voice as he and Sunil go back a long way.
The director confirms, "It's a four-line couplet that Ranbir has rendered in the movie. When I bounced off the idea to him, he immediately agreed." Ranbir and Anurag go back a long way and are good friends. He is currently shooting for his ambitious project 'Jagga Jasoos', featuring Katrina Kaif opposite him. In the past, Ranbir has acted as the male lead in Basu's critically acclaimed film Barfi!, which also featured Priyanka Chopra and Ileana D'Cruz. The 2013 film won a slew of Filmfare awards, including the best actor (Ranbir Kapoor) and best debut - female (Ileana D'Cruz).
