Bollywood actress and Sri Lankan beauty Jacqueline Fernandez is actively involved in social causes. She not only helped victims of the Chennai floods rebuild their homes but has also been associated with an American NGO called Habitat for Humanity for the last five years now.
Together, with the NGO, she launched a relief campaign called 'Jacqueline Builds' and helped in raising funds to build and repair houses for those affected in the floods.
The Asian ambassador for the organisation, she was invited for a talk in Brussels at the European Parliament on April 26. A proud moment for the actress, she addressed close to 60 people including European Parliament, policymakers, diplomats and media.
The event brought together around 60 people, including members of the European Parliament, high-level policymakers, diplomats, members of the public and the media. The success of her initiative was also discussed and there are plans to make 'Jacqueline Builds' an annual property. On her part, she will promote the cause and provide shelter to those in need.
