Natalie Portman not to be part of ‘Thor: Ragnarok’
The Oscar-winning actress Natalie Portman who played Thor's (Chris Hemsworth) human love interest Jane Foster in the previous two Thor movies, won't be returning for the third installment titled 'Thor: Ragnarok'.
According to an IndianExpress.com report that quoted Entertainment Weekly, Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige said, "There are many reasons she won't appear, many of which are in the film, so you will see that. There are only a couple scenes on Earth in this movie. The majority, 95 per cent of the movie, takes place in the cosmos." He added that the film, which is slated to release in November 2017, provides "the opportunity and the time to really change things up".
The film will star Chris Hemsworth and Mark Ruffalo as Asgardian God and his Avengers buddy Hulk, respectively. The report also states that the cast includes Oscar winner Cate Blanchett purportedly as the goddess of death Hela, and 'Creed' star Tessa Thompson as a mysterious new hero for the Marvel universe.
