Vicky Kaushal to play Rajput king in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmavati’?
After getting noticed for his role in 'Masaan' last year, Vicky Kaushal is to be seen in Anurag Kashyap's 'Rman Raghav 2.0' soon. But the actor might soon be making a transition to mainstream commercial cinema as well. News reports claim that the actor has been signed by director Sanjay Leela Bhansali for his next project - a biopic on Queen Padmavati of Mewar.
A report in Mid-Day quoted a source close to film, saying, "Bhansali is in the process of finalising the cast for Padmavati and has been meeting a few actors. He is looking for a relatively fresh talent to essay the role of King Rawal Ratan Singh, husband of the Mewar queen, and Vicky is one of the top contenders. Bhansali is quite impressed with the young actor's work and is keen to cast him as the king."
